Sad announcement
Hi everyone,

This is something that we never imagined us ever having to write. Now some of you already know the tragic news of our beloved Tony Roscoe, for those of you who don’t he had a severe asthma attack on Tuesday which lead to a severe heart attack, the ambulance staff, who came in 4 separate vehicles, were absolutely amazing and are a credit to their profession, after an hour of treating him and him being stabilised they then took him to the QE where Ronnie and Mat also went with Tony so that he wasn’t on his own.

At 2am they both went home as the doctor had said that they are running more tests and they will then be moving him up to the ICU ward. They then rang at 7am, 9am, 12pm and went up there at 1:30pm and stayed with him for an hour. He was on life support and was in an induced medical coma, we laughed and joked with him about stories and situations that have happened in the pub with Tony and of course sent him all the love from the rest of his work family.

Ronnie & Mat then called a few more times before midnight and said would call again on Thursday morning. When they called up just gone 8am the doctors said that Tony hadn’t been responding to anything they had been doing and his parents were advised by the doctors to withdraw all support. Again these doctors are the salt of the earth with what they do and are also a credit to our amazing NHS.

Tony passed away peacefully just before 10am yesterday.

To say we are all heartbroken is an understatement, so please do bear with us whilst we are trying to work and are in mourning for a beloved member of our family. Tony was an integral part of our family, who was a bit like the uncle that was outspoken and would sometimes say the wrong things but that’s what made him him and that’s why all of us at The Alma and you loved him. Tony and his unique character will be sorely missed by us all.

May he rest in peace x
