We are hiring at The Alma, Sidcup
We are looking for dynamic people to join The Alma family, the positions on offer are full time, with an average of 30 hours a week, which will go up in the summer, this is for evenings and weekends with most shifts being at the weekend, you must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years bar/pub experience (we understand that this may not have been continual with covid) and know how to serve a good gin, upselling drinks and food, be able to pull a decent pint of ale, as well as other beers, lagers and especially Guinness, gotta keep the customers happy. Also a good general knowledge of wines.
A bit of banter goes a long way but without it being detrimental to your job. We are a strong locals/regulars pub and are wanting someone who can fit in nicely with this.
Cellar knowledge and expertise in maintaining a good clean standard of a cellar is paramount as is changing gas, beers and tapping ales also being able to move 11’s and 22’s, as is following all health and safety and food hygiene procedures already in place, basically the basics of any job in a bar/pub. Must also have the ability to maintain the pubs standards of cleanliness.
The job that needs filling will be available from April although there will be shifts between now and then, good rates of pay and of course you’ll be joining a wonderful working family and a pub with soul at its heart.
