Our Christmas Day Carvery is back for 2025
£84.50 per adult, £65 ages 10 to 14, £50 ages 5 to 10 and £25 ages 0 to 4, the sittings are 1pm to 3pm and 3:30pm to 5:30pm, the first sitting will be in our festive garden room and the second sitting will be in the room and the pub.
Please send us an email or message on What's App to 07923 009864 with how many you are wanting to book for and at which sitting. When we confirm that the table is free then we will require a 50% deposit to be paid by bank transfer or cash, we will then require the other remaining 50% to be paid by the first week of November.
Christmas weekday lunch bookings are now being taken.
The menu is available from the 2nd of December until the 18th of December, Tuesdays to Fridays only with the last sitting being at 2pm. We do take group bookings up to 36. Crackers will be supplied. A pre order will be needed for all orders. A £10 deposit will be required per person to confirm your booking then the balance is to be paid within 4 weeks of your enquiry or by the 14th of November whichever is sooner. All our food is prepared in a kitchen where cross contamination may occur and our menu descriptions do not include all ingredients. As allergens are used in the preparation of some of our dishes we are unable to guarantee our menu is allergen free. Please email to discuss your particular allergy/intolerance/dietary requirements. Gluten-free options available. All drinks are to be ordered at the table only and there will be a 10% service charge added to all bills. Pub & Garden Room Bookings
To make your enquiry please do send us an email via our website with your enquiry, please give us as much information as possible with what you are looking for, dates, times, type of event etc once you have read the below information as this will help us to answer your enquiry fully, alternatively you can also send us a What's App to 07923 009 864. The emails & What's App messages will be replied to within office hours which is until 5pm Monday to Friday only. We do ask that you book in a time to come and see us to discuss your event with either of us or our manager Donna. For any viewings, please make sure that these are booked in, more so as an event may be setting up for their day/night, please do not just turn up as you may not be able to be seen and please be aware that our staff can only answer limited questions.
We do take bookings in all areas of the pub be it for lunch or just drinks, drop us an email or What's App message with the date, time from & until and how many you are wanting for, this can be anything from a table of 2 up to an area for 30/40 people, so rather having the stress of organising an event just take an area of the pub instead, we can still do you a buffet or a drinks tab etc
We can host wakes of any size from 10+ people, we have our private public bar area which is perfect up to 25/30 people and then we have the garden room for any numbers above this. For the catering we do have our own buffet menu available, or you can cater this yourself, we can also do an unlimited tea and coffee station for you as well as a drinks tab or with you buying the first drink, the price will be confirmed with you at the meeting after you have sent in your enquiry to us. We can also offer vases of lillies for £25 each.
For any events in our garden room be it baby showers/reveals, 1st birthdays, 21'st's and over, family get togethers, wedding parties, divorce parties or wakes etc, here is the information for you:
As we are a challenge 25 venue, we cannot host 18th birthday parties. Our license is 14+ years of age for the pub but as our events are in our garden room we do allow a very limited number of children for any events. Our room capacity is a maximum of 90 people and is the perfect for a minimum of 60.
For the room itself there is a hire fee of £250 for all events, this is for the setup of the room, the tables, which will have on white tablecloths (we do ask that care be taken with these, more so with certain foods, if any of the table cloths are unsalvageable then this will incur a charge which will be taken from your deposit), the chairs, the white chair covers which can also come with a choice of a coloured bow on each chair, (so we can always match the colour scheme of any event), the staff and clean down at the end of the night.
For every event there will be a minimum spend which is dependent on when the event is and for how long, this isn't what you need to be spending yourself but what needs to go behind the bar.
When the garden is open you can have tables reserved for you on the patio. If you would like some of the tables on the lawn, there will be a cost involved which all depends on how many you would like.
Once you have had a meeting with us to go through all of the details we will then require a deposit of £250.00 to be paid within 7 days of the meeting, the deposit can then be used for the hire fee once the room has been checked over for any damage on the night. The signed terms and conditions will be emailed too you once the deposit has been paid.
If we do not hear back from you then the date will be released. Or if you do not want the date then please do let us know asap.
We do have a lot of contacts for cakes, balloons, light up numbers, saxophonist, singers etc if you did want any of the mentioned then we can put you in touch with them if you so wish, also most of these are local to us. We also have our own in house DJ who is brilliant, respectful to us and our neighbours and does 99% of our events, if you would like to use his services we will see if he is free and put you both in touch with each other. We also have a 50" tv that can be used to airplay photos and videos on, there is a £30 charge for this.
Nothing is to go on the walls whatsoever and absolutely no table sprinkles or confetti of any kind are to be used! If they are then there will be a cleanup charge of £100 which will come off your deposit. If you or anyone else wants to come in earlier with any photos, decorations or balloons etc you are more than welcome to.
For the food side of things Angelo our chef has designed a menu for you, as its all made fresh to order and you wanted something that isn't on the menu then we are sure he can make it for you. If you would prefer to cater your event yourself then there is a fee of £100 to use our tables, table cloths and clean down of food. If you do cater your own event you will also be responsible for your own napkins and plates, if you would like us to supply these then there will be a charge.
For the drinks it can be a cash bar from the start, or you can do a welcome drink or an amount behind the bar, the choice is completely yours.
Time wise the room can be yours from anytime, the music has to be off by 11:30pm, the bar stops serving in the room at 11:30pm and the room is to be vacated by 11:40pm on Fridays and Saturdays, (if your event is for another night in the week we will discuss the times with you), the main bar stops serving at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays so once people have left the room itself they can then have one for the road before we close by 00:20, these times are earlier for Sunday to Thursday events.
Like any licensed premises the 4 licensing objectives will need to be adhered to.
We do not tolerate any form of abuse or harassment to our staff or other customers, if this happens then this can result in your event being stopped immediately and you forfeiting your deposit.
